Services offered to families with children and teens (10-17)
Limited services are now available to families with children and teens.
Online/ virtual services for children & teens 10 years old or over. Some in person sessions may be available, call or email for a consultation to find out more.
If your child or teen is Autistic or otherwise diagnosed or assumed to be neurodivergent and struggling with feelings of sadness, anger, social anxiety, identity or suicidal ideation, they may find that the Creative Arts Therapies offer them a creative outlet for expressing their fears, concerns and anxieties.

The Creative Arts Therapies use a strengths-based approach to experiential psychotherapy. This helps to meet younger humans where they are at and helps them to engage in therapeutic environment without the need for talk-focused therapy though talk may be used alongside any experiential activity.
This means that children and teens might create arts & crafts, use toys, make music or tell stories during a therapy session. In this way, the Creative Arts Therapies are inherently a trauma-informed method of psychotherapy practice which allows children and teens to find their own way of sharing their important content at a pace and ‘distance’ that helps them to feel safer and supported.
Services at Think Joy Drama Therapy are LGBTQIA2S+ affirming and inclusive.
Parents with Younger Children (3-9)
At this time I am able to support parents through individual therapy sessions.
I can also offer Child-Parent-Relationship-Therapy (CPRT)-informed services which may involve 2 parent sessions to one child session and/or one video review. To learn more about this send an email to inquiry about this service.

At this time I am pausing play-based therapy sessions with younger children due to space constraints. However, if you are a parent who would like to discuss how I can support you and your relationship with your child, please send me an email or give me a call to find out more.
